Have you ever been surprised (either positively or negatively) by your limits? When and how?
Continued temporal references try to root in one place on the continuum informational concepts that are not bounded by a static placement. Method of limitation altered by where in the cycles of the orbital bodies limitation occurs.
Have you ever been surprised (either positively or negatively) by your limits?
Implied boundary on experiencel activity. When she was young no boundaries were acknowledged. All possibilities were deemed equal in likelihood. Educational options were structured to invite inquiry into multiple avenues of interest. Temporal shift created barriers where none had existed before until only one option remained.
Have you ever been surprised (either positively or negatively) by…
Could not speak, could not articulate, could not comprehend. Voices filled all the corridors, no place was silent. She could not find her own space within the chaos. Only when Bearcat’s inside voice filled her places could the silence of peace be found. She could not filter, could not block the voices that whispered and yelled and tore at her threads. Sound of father’s voice, not first father, second, could muffle the noise, not drive it totally away. Sound of Bearcat’s thoughts made all the other voices run, find other homes to invade. They would not stay where he was, too much there to share. Positive, good, warmth all achieved by the silence in her mind. Confused by her lack of hold over it, lack of walls to stop the invasion of sound and feeling. Couldn’t, can’t stop the driving into her the piercing of others minds. Only when he is there, find quiet in the maelstrom.
Have you ever been surprised…?
Surprise wrapped in shiny paper with glittering promises of gifts to unwrap. Some papers hide gifts that steal and take from her, not gifts at all. Surprise that they would take and replace with needles and pins things that were not hers. Surprise she could not see where she was inside the present they created. Unwrapped herself to find a butterfly hatched from another’s larvae. Not the butterfly she should have been. Not the butterfly he found in her when he quieted the noise, let her see her wings in the light of fire. She is surprised to find herself in that light, bright and true, not a falsity wrapped in paper lies.
Have you ever been…?
She is, continues to be, in the circle of his peace. She stays for the quiet, surrounded by his presence, keeping her safe with her own thoughts. He makes a place for her where she can be. She stretches her being to the eternal future and the along the waves of the past and finds herself there all along with him beside her. She is.
